At Guirguis & Gibbs Inc., Jason serves as the lead bookkeeper, drawing on his impressive 20 years of experience in marketing, entertainment and accounting.
As a native of the Santa Clarita Valley, Jason attended Peachland Elementary, Placerita Jr. High School and eventually Hart High School. After graduating high school in 2001, Jason immediately went into the workforce, becoming a Customer Service Representative for Enterprise Rent-a-Car until 2005.
From 2005 until 2007, Jason went to work at Plus 8 Digital as the company’s inventory manager, where he was responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, management and internal controls across multiple locations nationwide.
To broaden his business expertise, Jason pursued studies in marketing and advertising at College of the Canyons, while working full-time. In 2007, Jason earned a coveted position at Universal Studios as a Lead Studio Expeditor, focusing his efforts in coordinating key personnel with purchases, generating proposals and working vendors and warehouses on big budget movie and television projects.
Throughout his time at Universal Studios, the entertainment industry was going through significant upheaval, most notable the Writer’s Guild of America Strike and the Great Recession. It was during these turbulent times that Jason decided to earn his B.S. in Business Administration from California State Channel Islands and pivot his skillset towards the accounting industry.
By 2019, Jason graduated with his degree in hand and moved away from the entertainment industry to work for local independent accountant, Janet Frush.
Jason joined Guirguis & Gibbs Inc. in 2020 and has been an integral part of the day-to-day operations. He is responsible for maintaining monthly & quarterly bookkeeping records, scheduling monthly payroll deposits, and filing quarterly payroll tax returns.
In addition to bookkeeping and payroll, Jason also assists in tax assembly, booking client appointments, and communicating with clients daily to ensure Guirguis & Gibbs has all the appropriate information.
Jason is a popular figure with all of the firm’s clients and is consistently praised for his ability to go above and beyond the client’s needs and expectations. Jason’s knowledge of taxation and bookkeeping grows by the day and he plans on become a Certified Registered Tax Preparer later this year.
Jason is an avid baker, uncle to the owner’s occasional fur babies and loves to explore the local hiking trails. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, bowling, and playing tennis.
